iHub research foresees a real potential for technology to engage citizens for better governance in East Africa. With a core focus on governance, we aim to investigate how technology can act as an amplifier to citizens, private organizations, and other stakeholders and increase the transparency, accountability, and citizen-government relationships.

Research, particularly conducted at the local level, sheds enormous light on the impact of technology, and allows for reflection and adaptation in a time of rapid change. We will partner with other African researchers to begin investigation on the impact of technology in communities around the Africa.
